Tayla and her sister Tara came into the pound together as wee babies, and sadly... at 6-7 months old they're still there, waiting for a forever family of their very own to come find them.

Tayla has been lucky enough, while living in the pound, to have met lots of dogs and has received a whole heap of love from the Animal Control crew as well. So while it's not ideal that she's lived in a pound her whole life, she's still a very sweet natured and dog social girl.

We recently took Tayla out and about and boy did she have a blast! First came a ride in a car - she'd never been in one before! It didn't take long before she discovered the joy of smelling all the smells in the car and finding all the dropped treats! Then we took a little trip to a quiet park area where she LOVED going for a wander around and sniffing all the smells, chewing on sticks and getting loads of snuggles! Tayla loved making new hooman friends too, she doesn't know "bad" people exist at the moment and this makes her wonderfully people social.

We think Tayla would do best in a home with semi active, patient hoomans who arelooking for a best bud to go on adventures as well as chill on the couch with. Who are willing to gently and patiently teach her all about the world, take her on loads of sniffy walks and be her companion. We believe that this little miss will make a very loyal and fun family member for someone looking for a smart and happy bestie. We'd recommend a home with dog savvy kids over 10 as Tayla has never lived with children before and is a bit bouncy when excited.
