Ideal Home: Murphie would love a home where his hoomans are either home most of the day (he's too young to be on his own for long at the moment) or to be able to go to work with his hoomans. He's a happy and fun loving little man who is very people social and thrives on positive interactions with his hoomans. He's not a total couch potato, so he would love to get out and about for a good walk with his hoomans every day but he's not over the top with energy either - he'd also love a hooman who will play fun games with him and take him to explore. While he is in a foster home with young children, he would be best suited to a home with kids 8 years and over. He has not met cats but would likely be ok if introduced properly. He would love another (female) dog in the home to play with and learn from. Murphie is a cracker little guy who just adores people and will make an awesome bestie for some lucky hoomans. He will need a family that is committed to ensuring he learns all the things that a good pupper should know and who will give him consistent rules and boundaries so he grows into a great member of doggy society.
Murphie and his siblings ended up in the pound with their Mama at 5 weeks old. Luckily, the pound staff were able to keep them safe until we could bring them into our care at 7 weeks old and in that time they got to stay with their mum and learn all the good things a Mama teachs.
Murphy is a handsome guy, who has such an uplifting, playful and happy energy. He loves to play and he loves connection with people. He follows his foster mum around everywhere and can usually be found at her feet wherever she is. He has an absolutely gorgeous personality and is such a joy to have around. He's very interested in playing with the young hooman children in his foster home and loves to have their full attention. He's such a people dog, he really thrives on connection with his hoomans and he's very loving
Murphy loves to play, and really loves to chew things so will need hoomans who will kindly show him what he is allowed to chew and what he shouldn't (he loves his cow hooves and chewing on sticks but the odd crock has fallen prey to his chewy jaws - although we can't say we disagree with him on his taste there hahaha). Most of all, he loves when people play with him and his toys.
Murphie is a very smart boy, picking up new commands very quickly (especially when there is a treat reward in it for him!), he's almost house trained (but of course will need consistency to start with at his new home), is crate trained, and has made a start on learning basic manners like sit and down. He adores kids but is still a baby and learning about how to play appropriately so although he's in a foster home with young children we would recommend kids over 8 years old. He is in a foster home with his brother, other adult dogs and chickens. He likes to watch the chooks, but is well behaved around them (they are in a pen separate from where the dogs can go).
Murphie will need hoomans prepared to continue his learning and socialisation and willing to teach him all the good things a puppy should know in order to be a great member of doggy society.
Murphie must be allowed to live inside the home so he can be a real member of the family.
