Ideal Home: Maverick would love a home where his hoomans are either home most of the day (he's too young to be on his own for long at the moment) or to be able to go to work with his hoomans. He's a happy, easy going little guy, who is very people social and thrives on positive interactions with his hoomans. He's not a total couch potato, so he would love to get out and about for a good walk with his hoomans every day but he's pretty darn cruisy. He'd love a hooman who will play fun games with him and take him to explore but he'd also be pretty happy with a good wander and a snuggle on the couch. He is in a foster home with young children and is very good with them, so kids 5+ who are respectful of his space but have plenty of time for snuggles would be fab. He has not met cats but would likely be ok if introduced properly. Another (female) dog in the home to learn from and play with would be great. Maverick is a great natured little guy who just adores people and will make an awesome bestie for some lucky hoomans. He will need a family that is committed to ensuring he learns all the things that a good pupper should know and who will give him consistent rules and boundaries so he grows into a great member of doggy society.
Maverick and his siblings ended up in the pound with their Mama at 5 weeks old. Luckily, the pound staff were able to keep them safe until we could bring them into our care at 7 weeks old and in that time they got to stay with their mum and learn all the good things a Mama teaches. Now they are in great foster homes with other adult dogs so they can keep learning all the good doggy signals a pupper should know.
Maverick is a bit of a looker with a gentle and great natured energy about him He's a very go with the flow sort of guy who would fit in to pretty much any household (as long as they liked to snuggle). He loves to play and he loves connection with people. He follows his foster mum around everywhere and can usually be found at her feet wherever she is. He has an absolutely gorgeous personality and has such a calm way about him (even for a puppy). Maverick is great with people! He loves a cuddle with everyone and will just chill out, laying down and having a nap, just happy to be in your company.
Maverick loves to chew things so will need hoomans who will kindly show him what he is allowed to chew and what he shouldn't (he loves his cow hooves which are a great chew for teething puppers). Most of all, he loves when people play with him and give him snuggles.
Maverick is a well natured, gentle and loving puppy (and just quietly, his foster mum's fav) who is great around children. He would be a fantastic addition to an family. He's almost house trained (but of course will need consistency to start with at his new home), is crate trained, and has made a start on learning basic manners like sit and down, leave it and off. He adores kids and is very good with them so a home with respectful children 5+ would be great. He is in a foster home with his brother, other adult dogs and chickens. He likes to watch the chooks, but is well behaved around them (they are in a pen separate from where the dogs can go).
Maverick will need hoomans prepared to continue his learning and socialisation and willing to teach him all the good things a puppy should know in order to be a great member of doggy society.
Maverick must be allowed to live inside the home so he can be a real member of the family.
