Size: Will likely be Large-XL sized when fully grown - we suspect around 30kgs but could be bigger

Bad Habits: He is still a baby so no bad habits just yet
Personality Type: Low energy, will want to get out and about for daily plod as opposed to a walk. Giant goofy love bug.
Special Requirements: None that we're aware of but he's a big boy so any new hooman will need to take care that they don't over exercise him or let him jump off things while he's still growing so his joints are protected (luckily he likes to just chill)
Adoption Fee: $350
Ideal Home: Madden would love a home where his hoomans are home with him at least some of the day. He' s a real people person and loves to hang out with his "special" hooman. He's a happy, goofy and sweet natured little man who is very people social and thrives on positive interactions with his hoomans. He's a bit of a couch potato, he would love to get out and about for a bit of a wander with his hoomans every day but he'd also love a hooman who will snuggle up with him and give him all the loves. He would be best suited to a home with gentle kids 8 years and over. He is respectful of the dog savvy cat, cows and the chickens in his foster home and a fast learner so should adapt pretty well with appropriate introductions. He would love another dog in the home to play with and learn from but would be fine on his own too. Madden is a sweet, goofy and gentle (most of the time...) little guy who just adores people and will make an awesome bestie for some lucky hoomans. He will need a family that is committed to continuing his learning about all the things that a good pupper should know so he grows into a great member of doggy society.
Madden and his siblings ended up in the pound with their Mama at 5 weeks old. Luckily, the pound staff were able to keep them safe until we could bring them into our care at 7 weeks old and in that time they got to stay with their mum and learn all the good things a Mama teaches.
Madden is a giant, goofly lovebug who adores his hoomans and wants to show them alllll the love. He has an absolutely gorgeous personality and is such a joy to have around. He has the coordination of a very uncoordinated creature and often falls over his own feet, doing roly polys when he runs too fast. He loves to chew things so lots of chew toys and cow hooves and this guy will happily chew the day away (he's a puppy and he's teething).
His foster mum says: "He reminds me of the fat puppy from 101 Dalmatians. If he could talk, he would definitely be telling me how hungry he is. He’s a roly-poly ball of love. He follows me everywhere with hearts in his eyes."
Madden is a smart boy, picking up new commands very quickly (especially when there is a treat reward in it for him!), he's house trained (but of course will need consistency to start with at his new home), is crate trained, sleeps through the night and has made a start on learning basic manners like sit, wait, give paw and come. He's also very good at staying by you during a walk. He's in a foster home without children but we think a quiet and calm home with kids over 8 years old would be fine. He is in a foster home with 3 other adult dogs, a cat, cows and chickens. He has learnt the hard way that you don't mess with the chooks so is kind and respectful around them. He does want to play with the cat, but he's a big boy so the cat isn't so keen. We think he would be fine in a home with a cat, with proper introductions of course.
Madden will need hoomans prepared to continue his learning and socialisation and willing to teach him all the good things a puppy should know in order to be a great member of doggy society.
Madden must be allowed to live inside the home so he can be a real member of the family.
If you can provide Madden with a fully fenced and secure property, quality food, regular flea and worm treatments, a comfy and warm bed, a comfy couch to nap on and most of all lots of love for the rest of his days, click on the apply to adopt button and complete the application form.
Thanks for checking out handsome guy Madden's profile! We cant wait to help him find his forever hoomans, could that be you?
